This project, undertaken by our Sacramento Special Projects team, is a multi-floor full demolition of existing restrooms and renovation with all new fixtures and finishes at the California State Capitol, upgrading 16 restrooms across Floors 1–4. The scope included new drinking fountains, refreshed corridor finishes, and major behind-the-scenes improvements, from replacing leaking gate valves and reinforcing interior wall framing to correcting floor slopes to meet drain requirements.
Working within active spaces like a server room and an operating restaurant required thoughtful coordination, creative layout solutions, and detailed documentation to ensure minimal disruption. A great example of our team’s ability to adapt, problem-solve, and deliver quality work in highly sensitive, occupied environments.
